Q: WHEN SHOULD ONE START WORKING WITH AN INTERIOR DESIGNER?
A: Before construction begins! We can't stress it enough...a positive design and construction process starts by having the design fully buttoned up *before* construction commences.
By having the design finalized before construction, the proper contractors and trades can be brought into the process, bids and/or estimates will be more accurate, budgets & schedules can be more adhered to, questions can be answered before there's an issue, and fewer costly corrections will be made throughout the entire process. One change can cause a domino effect of changes and cost increases, so trying to design on the fly while demo & construction are also trying to progress is a rough, stressful, and typically extra costly experience.
Overall, starting the design early & having the full design package complete before the first sledge hammer swings means all the details can be organized & the trades can work their magic to the best of their abilities as well.
Q: WHAT IS THE IDEATION AND DESIGN PROCESS LIKE AT A/REVELATION DESIGNS?
A: First and foremost, we start with Research. Dedicated time spent interviewing and asking questions is where everything begins, so that we know we know you & can make the most educated, personalized design choices. Doing so means we make a design that's as unique as you are.
Q: WHAT'S YOUR PRICING STRUCTURE?
A: We work on a fee structure that is built on transparency. During our complimentary Design Discovery Meet & Greet, we walk you through all the details so you're comfortable with the process. Feel free to go ahead and schedule yours here.
We like you to know what you're getting, so we charge a flat fee for design. We also take care of the procurement & installation, so those fees show up as separate line items on your invoice. We'll even go the extra mile to design your home in phases, so we can compliment the pace at which you’re comfortable investing in your home.
